Drake blames COVID for his heart-shaped hairline growing in “weird”

Drake took to Instagram to reveal why his heart-shaped hairline has grown “weird”.

After a fan page posted two pictures of the rapper side-by-side, one shortly after his heart-shaped hairline debut in August 2020 and one much more recently, the heart appears to have almost disappeared.

“That heart is stressed,” the user joked in the caption. Drake then replied to the fan page blaming his positive case of COVID for the deterioration of his hairline.

“I had Covid that shit grew in weird I had to start again,” he commented, without revealing when he contracted the virus. “It’s coming back don’t diss.”

Although it isn’t an immediate effect of COVID, a study in November 2020 proved that out of 63 participants, 14 reported hair loss after testing positive for the virus.

Another commenter joked, “And he's paying his barber my rent for that,” in reply to Drake in the studio with his faded hairline.

Drake has been teasing the release of his new album, ‘Certified Lover Boy’ for over half a year. The rapper pushed back the drop date after it was originally set for release in January this year.

CLB will be Drake’s sixth studio album, which comes three years after his last record - 2018’s ‘Scorpion’. Now, the rapper has revealed that he’s in the process of mixing and mastering ‘Certified Lover Boy’ and said in July that the record is complete.

“Album’s ready… album’s cooked, looking forward to delivering it to you. ‘Certified Lover Boy’ on the way and that’s for anyone in the way,” Drake told Sound 42’s Fri Yiy Friyay radio show last month.
