Dollska (Gerald Donald remix)
The Detroit producer weirds out this Kissa Records cut
You might have heard of Dollska under her previous guise Dollskabeat. She's part-Scottish, part-Belarusian and is soon to release her 'So Long For A Small Storm' EP on Kissa Records.
Her sizzling 'Zodiac Rising' release on Optimo Music back in 2009 received the thumbs-up from us lot and the next one's been called a "masterful, timeless piece of electronica" by Firecracker Recordings artist Linkwood.
Detroit artist Gerald Donald (Drexciya, Dopplereffekt), described as a "legend" by Dollska, is part of the package as well, remixing the title track.
The beaming opening makes it seem as if you're being propelled to sky via sun rays, soon countered by pellets of juddering synths and earthquake drums. All with the slo-mo "so long" vocal creeping in and out to weird out this cyber techno cut.
The 'So Long For A Small Storm' EP is out on July 15
