DJs can qualify for grants up to £10,000 from Arts Council England

DJs can apply for grants up to £10,000 from Arts Council England.

Applications for Developing your Creative Practice (DYCP) are open now and the grants are also available to performer/creators, arts and cultural educators, community practitioners/engagement specialists, movement directors, cultural conservators, creative enablers, and creative technicians.

The grants, set up to help during the COVID-19 pandemic, range from £2,000 to £10,000 and, according to the Arts Council website, applicants "only need to have had one years’ experience outside of a formal educational setting."

There will be a total of £18 million granted over the next 12 months, with four rounds between October 2020 and October 2021. Even if your application is rejected, you can reapply for another round.

This follows venues such as Village Underground, Corsica Studios, Gorilla and Mint Warehouse, as well as Reprezent Radio, receiving grants as part of the Culture Recovery Fund.
