Pioneer DJ has announced its new mixer, the DJM-S11.

An upgrade to the DJM-S9, the 2-channel, 4-deck DJM-S11 comes with additions to make it easier for DJs to play with Serato DJ Pro or rekordbox, with no license keys required.

Features include a 4.3-inch customizable touch screen, improving actions such as track browsing and checking playback and waveforms, and Touch MIDI.

Smooth Echo - an industry first - allows you to "automatically engage when moving the faders or hit the pads assigned as triggers," as Pioneer DJ describes. Another new effect is Beat FX.

Up to four tracks can be played at once thanks to the mixer's Deck 3/4 Control, while the MAGVEL FADER PRO has been improved and the Performance Pads are larger than its predecessor.

A built-in USB hub allows the DJM-S11 to be connected to CDJs and the DDJ-XP2.

The DJM-S11 will be available from mid-October at a price of £1,899.
