DJ Uri in The Lab Mumbai

Born in East London (UK) & based in Mumbai (India), DJ Uri has been rocking 2 Turntables since 1987, starting out as a Hip Hop, Funk & Soul DJ. A long history in collecting vinyl records, Uri has been an avid vinyl enthusiast buying music since 1982.

Musically, DJ Uri fuses Hip Hop, Funk, Dub/Reggae, Breakbeat to Drum & Bass using 2 Turntables and a Mixer showcasing skill levels of the highest degree. The Official DJ for Battle Of The Year South East Asia Finals 2014, 2015 & RedBull BC One India 2016-2019, the last few years have seen him support the likes of Pretty Lights, Stretch & Bobbito, DJ Craze, DJ Shortkut, Diplo, Flying Lotus, Ed Sheeran, Lefto, Natasha Diggs, Jon1st, Foreign Beggars, Rodney P & Skitz, Mark Ronson, Akala & Lady Leshurr on their tours to India.

As a key member of “The 3 Stylers” DJ Uri combines his scratching & turntable trickery with a loop station providing an array of funky, swingy, jazzy beats and breaks. Add a drum machine with some LIVE finger drumming & sampling, he creates a perfect canvas for Karan "MadFingers" Joseph on keys and the soloist of the outfit, Ryan Sadri with his silky saxophone.
