DJ EZ scoops nearly £60k for Cancer Research after 24-hour marathon set
The live-streamed event took place this weekend
DJ EZ flexed his skills behind the decks for a full 24 hours this weekend, performing a marathon set in aid of Cancer Research. At the time of writing, over £58,000 has been raised, with the total donators hitting 6,300.
Despite the lengthy run time, the UK garage don asserted his status by keeping the energy high, the mixing tight and the tunes banging throughout. As Butterz boss Elijah remarked on Twitter, you know a crate’s packing heat when Hardrive's 'Deep Inside' doesn't come out until the 20th hour of a set.
The phenomenal achievement drew plaudits across the board, with Midland, Logan Sama, The Black Madonna and Spooky among the DJs congratulating EZ on Twitter.
Check out the final moments of the set below during which MJ Cole's anthem ‘Sincere’ is dropped, and head to the event’s Just Giving page to donate to the cause. Big up EZ!
The final few minutes!
