Dizzee Rascal - whose real name is Dylan Mills – has been found guilty of assaulting his ex-fiancé Cassandra Jones in June last year.

The grime artist was said to have pressed his forehead against Jones’ forehead and pushed her to the ground during what was described as a “chaotic” row in Streatham, South London on June 8, 2021.

The 37-year-old split with his partner in February 2021 with whom he has two children.

The court heard that Mills "barged" his way into the property with his son under his arms before "screaming and shouting" and banging his head on the fridge three times.

After this, he approached Ms Jones and "put his forehead against hers and pushed her around the room" and then "pushed her to the ground", the court heard.

The incident became so loud that neighbours called the police.

When the police arrived, Mills said "I'm the aggressor," but later gave a statement in a denying the allegations and claimed he had been assaulted by Ms Jones, the court heard.

District Judge Polly Gledhill said Mills lost his temper in an argument over child contact and finances.

She added that he was "abusive and aggressive" and "assaulted her as outlined by the Crown."

Following the verdict at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court, Mills took a camera from a Press Association photographer outside the court and threw it into a road, smashing it.

He will be sentenced at Croydon Magistrates' Court on April 8.
