Already a seasoned tastemaker within the electronic music - and pop music - space, Diplo is ready to kick off his entrepreneurial career with a new investment. His most recent venture sees him as an equity holder in Arizona's professional soccer team, the Arizona United Soccer Club.

His newest investment is quite a step away from the world of Skrillex and Justin Bieber, but Wes Pentz credits his deep-rooted experiences of global cultures as the inspiration behind expanding his horizons to soccer.

"I've been really fortunate to travel all over the world and experience different cultures through music. Wherever I am, Jamaica, Spain, England, China, etc., soccer is a social constant," he explained. "I wanted to figure out a way to get involved with the game and team sports so when Arizona United presented itself, I immediately jumped at the opportunity. I see soccer the same way I see music, as a connective tissue linking the world's cultures."
