Diplo calls Zedd a 'cornball' for his M&M-sponsored tune

The cheesy branded song is not Diplo's favorite

Last month, Zedd released a total pop delivery titled 'Candyman' with singer Aloe Blacc. Despite Zedd's already pop-heavy direction, 'Candyman' stuck out thanks to its blatant branding from M&Ms.

Throughout the video for the track, clips of the recognized cartoon candy figures sit alongside Zedd in the studio while the video incorporates vintage clips of past M&M ads. For even the most die-hard of Zedd fans, it's hard not to be overwhelmed by how cheesy the video feels.

Apparently, Diplo finally caught wind of the tune and was quick to share his disapproval.

On Twitter, he asked Zedd directly about the "fake Flume drop featuring M&Ms", ending his call out by stating that "it's not all about the money".

After Zedd retorted by calling him a "jealous little bitch", Diplo then went on to call Zedd a "cornball loser" and (over)share that he's also gotten down with Zedd's girl - though we're not sure if he's talking about Zedd's previous high-profile relationship Selena Gomez or not.

Despite Diplo trying to end things on a diplomatic note, it's hard not to agree with him after seeing the video for 'Candyman'.
