Definitive grime biography 'Inner City Pressure' to be adapted for television
Dan Hancox's grime history book is getting its own TV series
Dan Hancox's definitive grime biography Inner City Pressure: The Story of Grime, is being turned into a TV show.
Published in 2018, the television rights to the extensive documentation of the UK genre's origins and rise have recently been picked up by Pulse Films and Paramount Television.
From the government crackdowns on grime to its 'death' and recent mainstream success, the book brings an amazing amount of insight into the first two decades of this unique and unapologetic genre of music. It's jam-packed with interviews from the genre's stars such as Dizzee Rascal, Stormzy, Wiley and more.
Earlier this year, author Dan Hancox tackled the near-impossible task of telling the story of grime in only 10 tracks. Check out the list here
