Deezer is launching a new dance music podcast celebrating industry icons

Streaming platform Deezer is launching a new Deezer Original podcast titled Trailblazers, looking at the vibrant history of electronic dance music and the artists and icons who helped shape the scene.

Helmed by Eddy Temple-Morris and Nick Halkes, the presenters will be joined by the likes of Fatboy Slim, Mary Anne Hobbs, Goldie, Danny Rampling, DJ Zinc and more, with each esteemed guest invited on to discuss their take on dance music's history. Rewinding back to the early 90s, interviewees will share their thoughts on how and why dance and electronic music infiltrated the UK club scene.

Temple-Morris and Halkes will also offer up their perspectives, leaning on their highly-lauded careers in industry to provide choice insight. XL Recordings co-founder and Positiva boss Halkes is cherished by many for his signing of The Prodigy among other notable names. Likewise, festival resident and DJ Temple-Morris was the first to play out the likes of Justice and Simian Mobile Disco on the airwaves.
