Deadmau5 ready for legal battle with Disney over mouse head trademark

Disney believe a trademark of Deadmau5's logo will damage their business in the United States

Remember that alleged Disney v Deadmau5 legal battle that we reported on in April? Well, it looks like it's now officially underway.

It was originally reported that the movie corporation was investigating the Canadian's attempt to trademark a black and white caricature of his mouse head and Disney is now apparently going forward with trying to block the trademark.

As always, Deadmau5 took to Twitter to break the news.

TMZ reports that Joel Zimmermann already has the logo trademarked in 30 other countries but say Disney reckon it'll damage their business worldwide if he's granted a trademark in the US.

Joel's not been so lucky with huge companies lately, has he? It was only last week that he was venting anger towards Ferrari after he was issued a cease and desist order on the famous 'Purrari'.

Something tells us he probably doesn't give a fuck.
