Daniel Avery shares redux EP and reissue of 'Drone Logic' album

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of his debut LP, 'Drone Logic', Daniel Avery has both reissued the album via Erol Alkan's Phantasy label and shared a three-track EP, containing new live editions of tracks taken from the 'Drone Logic' record.

With 'Need Electric''s redux being shared at the beginning of November, and 'Free Floating' two months later, Avery has now shared the redux EP in its entirety.

“It was many years into my career that I was able to realise the idea of the live show I’d been holding in my head so when the moment finally arrived around the 'Ultra Truth' album I knew I had to create a singular flow encompassing the last ten years of music," he explains. "The act of deconstructing and rebuilding every track of mine felt inspiring, especially when re-visiting music from my debut album Drone Logic. These redux versions are intended to sit alongside the originals. They are companion pieces from a different camera angle. The same heart beating with a new vibration”

Marking the 10th anniversary of his seminal debut, Avery continues, explaining the impact of the record on his career:

“Time moves at a breakneck pace, no question, but the decade since 'Drone Logic' has been filled with so many momentous moments, so many beacons of light I never could have imagined appearing on the horizon that every year has left a deep and unique notch in my memory. The album gifted me a creative life, one that feels as exciting today as it ever has done. The countless stories I’ve heard from you over the years about how it soundtracked special moments or, further still, affected your path in some way - they all mean so much to me.

"This is why, above all, I simply want to say thank you to every single person who has been there along the road in some capacity, fans old and new. 'Drone Logic' caught fire thanks to word of mouth and that glowing energy I believe continues to live on. We have a lot more news coming around this release, so stay tuned.”
