The final stop of the USB002 tour will mark the former Robot's first UK performance since Wireless Festival 2007

Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter to join Fred again.. at Ally Pally tonight

Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter is set to appear as a special guest at Fred again..'s show in London tonight (February 27). 

In an Instagram story posted this morning, Fred again.. confirmed that the legendary French musician will join him for the final show of his USB002 tour at Alexandra Palace.

"I can't believe I'm typing this," Fred again.. wrote, alongside a picture of himself and Bangalter. "There is only one way to end this tour of surreal whirlwind dream casting. And it is with this man. The greatest."

In another Instagram story, Fred again.. shared a video of himself and Bangalter in the studio, where the pair can be heard playing a blend of 'Billie (Loving Arms)' and Daft Punk's 'Digital Love', with text that reads: "We've been in the studio all week and basically prepared a one-off show just for tonight."

Tonight will mark the second performance between the pair, with Bangalter having played his first DJ set in 16 years - and his first sans Robot helmet in 24 years - alongside Fred again.., Ed Banger head honcho Busy P (AKA Pedro Winter), and Errol Alkan at Because Music's Beaubourg event at the Pompidou Centre in Paris in October.

It will also mark Thomas Bangalter's first performance in the UK in over 18 years. The last time he performed in the UK was alongside his former Daft Punk partner Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo at London's Hyde Park for Wireless Festival, as part of the duo's legendary 2007 Alive Tour.
