Daft Punk mistaken for Billy Joel in new Family Guy

It's not the first time the pair have been the butt of a joke in the show

Have the writers of Family Guy got a vendetta against Daft Punk, or what?

First the duo won a Grammy in a recent episode for pressing the demo button on a Casio keyboard and now their music's been mistaken for Billy Joel in 'An App A Day'.

1997 track 'Around The World' gets played in a bar when Peter, Quagmire, Cleveland and Joe are having a beer, leading Peter to adamantly argue it's Billy Joel's 'Movin' Out (Anthony's Song)' streaming out of the jukebox.

Quagmire knows what's good, though, claiming "this is Daft Punk" before threatening to clatter Peter with his tankard.

However, any risk of a fight is soon quashed when Cleveland uses Shazam to identify the tune. Surely, the first time someone's had to Shazam such an obvious banger, right?

While you're here, you might as well check out this recreation of DP's helmets and this colour-changing chair inspired by Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo.
