London's Corsica Studios will close next year
22 years since it first opened, the South London nightclub is set to close for good in 2026
Corsica Studios is set to shutter in 2026 after 22 years.
Sources close to Corsica Studios confirmed to Mixmag today (September 29) that the storied South London nightclub will close permanently in 2026.
Corsica Studios' owners are yet to confirm the reason behind the closure, however sources speaking to The Londoner cited noise complaints from newbuild residential neighbours and increased costs.

Founded by Amanda Moss and Adrian Jones, Corsica first opened its doors in 2002 — having hosted a slew of iconic parties across the last two decades, the venue has become one of the most beloved venues in UK capital.
Located beneath railway arches close to Elephant and Castle roundabout, Corsica Studios has been greatly impacted by developments and gentrification in the area.
In 2018, it was given £125k by Delancey, the real estate asset management and advisory company behind Elephant and Castle town centre development, in order to soundproof the club; while in 2020, it was granted £400k in Arts Council grant funding to provide relief during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite this, Southwark News reported in 2023 that the venue was "under threat" due to the planned expansion of the Delancey project, with Southwark Council having offered the venue an "alternative" location nearby.
Sources told Southwark News at the time that costs relating to relocation, soundproofing and licensing would make the move "unviable".
