Compa
Blistering dubstep set to destroy the dance
If it's proper, authentic dubstep you're after, Compa, aka Manchester producer Will Brown, is someone you need to listen to.
His productions hit hard, real hard, and are rammed full with hammering low-end bass, quake-in-yer-boots rumbles and that beautiful dollop of dub that only really gets fulfilled on a stacked soundsystem.
A Deep Medi Musik affiliate, it was his 'Narabeh'/'Alpha' release on Mala's label in 2013 that made us take notice. The A-side is dusty creeper, laden with bird tweets and pranging zings, while the B-side's a weighty smack to the face teeming tip-toe bleeps and slowly delivered, sketchy drums.
Releases after that came on Tuba Records, Boka Records, Killa Sound and Lion Charge Records but now he returns to Deep Medi with the 'Truth In Sound' EP.
We exclusively deliver the title track to you and we suggest you prepare yourself for a bit of a battering. One set to obliterate the dance, it comes loaded with all the powerful, knockout ingredients Compa's fed us before. Buckle up!
The 'Truth In Sound' EP is out on March 11 and you can pre-order here
