AEG and Superfly, organizers behind some of the largest multi-genre festivals in the United States (Coachella and Bonnaroo, respectively) have their eye on a brand new market for what could soon be the newest addition to the festival circuit.

Denver, Colorado has become the new target thanks to its large population of young and wealthy music lovers and students. Though its yet to be confirmed, the Denver Overland Park Golf Course is said to be a top choice.

The festival is projected to follow a Coachella-esque model with a diverse line-up of artists hosted across a weekend. About 30,000 to 60,000 fans will be accommodated and potentially, the show could arrive by 2018.

“This is not a done deal by any stretch,” AEG’s David Ehrlich stated in a meeting held last week around the planning of the project. We will not do this festival here if the community doesn’t want it.”

Stay tuned for more details to come.
