Citizenn (Kerri Chandler remix)

Kerri Chandler is a man who should need little introduction.

As an original purveyor of soulful, deep house, Kerri's responsible for three figures worth of releases through legendary labels such as Nervous Records, King Street Sounds, and his own Madhouse Records.

He's shown remarkable staying power, operating in the scene for over three decades and continuing to attract admirers and high level bookings. Those who have seen Kerri DJ will know he never disappoints.

Citizenn doesn't quite have the same pedigree, but since putting out his first release in 2011 through Templar Sound he's started well on his way to catching up, releasing through imprints such as Madtech Records, 20:20 Vision and Crosstown Rebels, the latter of which put out his assured debut album 'Human Interface' last year.

The next Crosstown Rebels release, Citizenn's 'Lady feat. Aisha' single, sees the pair combine forces to brilliant effect, with Kerri featuring on remix duties.

He strips back the original, adding atmospheric weight with the subdued vocals and keeping it driving with an alternating kick and hi-hat throughout. Listen below.
