Electronic and classical sounds combine to mesmerising effect
Prolific Detroit brothers Octave One have been responsible for producing some of the finest tracks in techno over the past two decades.
Their 2000 single 'Black Water' has sold over one million copies worldwide; it's a timeless classic featuring lush string instrumentation and enchanting vocals from Ann Saunderson.
'Black Water' represents one example from a discography that deserves big, bold arrangements, so we were excited to see Octave One join forces with the Tonhalle Philharmonic Orchestra for a special one-off performance in Zurich last December.
As expected, the combination of electronic and classical sounds merged seamlessly for a unique and mesmerising performance. Check out footage of the event below.
