Chance The Rapper initiates $2 million project to aid Chicago Youth
The city native helps promote Chicago Beyond's new challenge
Chance The Rapper once again gives back to his community in a big way with this week's announcement on his support for Chicago Beyond's Go Innovation Challenge.
The organization's initiative asks applicants to submit 90-second video pitches on strategies to improve and support Chicago's youth, helping with jobs, education, creative outlets and developing safer communities. At this time, only nonprofits are eligible to enter.
The top selected plans will be implemented with $2 million of funding from Chicago Beyond, promoting a nation-wide community think tank.
Following the announcement, Chance sat down with Liz Dozier of the organization for a live Q&A where he gave details on winner's project involvement and future plans for his own non-profit Social Works.
