With 2016 soon coming to a close, Movement Detroit is giving techno aficionados plenty reason to start making moves and planning their 2017 Memorial Day weekend.

The festival's first line-up phase has come out of the gate with a strong roster led by the revered Carl Cox and what's guaranteed to be a highlight of Movement with the festival debut of The Belleville Three, the pioneering Detroit techno trio made up of Juan Atkins, Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson.

"I am really looking forward to coming back to the home of techno, it’s been a few years now since I was there last, but I can finally say, I am coming back,” Carl Cox said, alluding to his previous engagements in Ibiza, which annually hosts its opening weekend during the same time period as Movement Detroit.

“I always have so much fun, with my DJ peers and the party people. I cannot wait to rock the dancefloor once again."

Fellow headliners include Matthew Dear as Audion, Adam Beyer, Nicole Moudaber, Dixon, Chris Liebing, Kerri Chandler, Kevin Saunderson as E-Dancer, Cassy, Robert Hood, Ben Klock, Barclay Crenshaw, Danny Brown and more, completing a total of 70 acts announced today.

Movement Detroit takes place across three days from May 27 through 29. Tickets are available here.
