Kickstarter launches for new ultra-compact MIDI controller, Matrix
203 Electronics plan to have the product on shelves by June
A Kickstarter campaign from 203 Electronics is appealing for funding to create an all-new ultra-compact MIDI controller named Matrix.
Dubbed to be “one of the thinnest and most portable MIDI devices available” by its creator, the controller measures at 13.2mm.
The main features of this controller include its customisable control panel, sequencer and tracker mode, RTPMidi support, DAW integration, 2.4GHz wireless support and more.

The Kickstarter claims that Matrix will be available in June with enough backing.
In a statement, 203 Electronics write: “We appreciate your support for this project. It has been a journey to get here, and we look forward to where we will go next.”
It continues: “If you are a backer, let us know your plans for using Matrix. If not, let us know what you would like to see on it. We will continue to provide updates based on everyone's interests.”

The device is planning to be affordable as people are able to pledge $89 (£72.34) for the regular Matrix which retails at $119 (£96.72) and for the pro they can pledge $149 (£121.11) with the retail price at $179 (£145.50).
