Café 1001 celebrates 25th anniversary with European hi-fi bar tour

Longstanding Brick Lane venue Café 1001 has announced that it will embark on a European hi-fi bar tour in 2026 to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

Described as an “ambitious” project that will see the audio bar collaborate with 10 hi-fi venues across the continent, Café 1001 On Tour will visit its “counterparts” in countries including Germany, Spain, Italy, and many more.

The tour will begin on February 6 at Dublin’s The Big Romance, and will conclude on December 4 at Paris’ Frequence, curating more than 20 events in collaboration with 10 venues during its months-long tour.

The cultural exchange aims to “connect with the spaces and faces that share our passion for music, sound and connection,” Café 1001 wrote in an announcement on Instagram, then “inviting them back to London for what we believe is a first-of-its-kind hi-fi cultural exchange.”

All 20 events will tap audio-forward venues to explore vinyl, high-fidelity sound, and the “social experience” of connecting through music, marking a milestone 25 years for the cultural institution.

“Café 1001 has always moved with the tide as Brick Lane evolved,” says Luca Pilato, Head of Creative Direction and Operations at the venue. “This latest chapter marks our first step beyond Brick Lane and onto the international stage, a moment that has been a long time in the making.”

“This tour feels like a defining moment for the project, evolving from a local space into a platform for international exchange while staying rooted in community, sound and shared values.”
