White Material joins The Level Party in support of human rights

Raising funds for the ACLU at an intimate loft space in Brooklyn with Galcher Lustwerk and more

Brooklyn-based roving warehouse crew The Level Party has linked up with White Material Records to raise funds for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), helping to ensure the rights of distinct groups of people are not overlooked.

Taking place on November 19 at an undisclosed loft space, Level will welcome White Material co-founders DJ Richard and Young Male, along with label affiliates Galcher Lustwerk (pictured), Alvin Aronson and Morgan Louis.

Since the recent presidential election in the United States, racial tension and discrimination seems to be subsequently heightened. The American Civil Liberties Union is one of many organizations people are looking to for support during this difficult time.

While the ACLU aims to protect the basic rights of US citizens, they also focus on supporting minorities and vulnerable populations. “We work also to extend rights to segments of our population that have traditionally been denied their rights, including people of color; lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender people; women; mental-health patients; prisoners; people with disabilities; and the poor."

The Level Party will donate 100 per cent of profits from its upcoming White Material event, which is the crew's second charity-focused party of the year after raising funds for Alzheimer's caregiving at a roof party featuring Willie Burns, DJ Wey, and Lawrence Lee earlier this year.
