Brixtol launches AW collection 'The Lost Explorer'

Brixtol has launched its AW 2017 collection, titled 'The Lost Explorer'.

It's based on the adventures of Sir John Franklin, who left London in 1857 in search of the Northwest Passage, which would open up trade routes between the Arctic and Europe.

Franklin and hundreds of other men died during the expedition and the exact details of their journey and how they dealt with the extreme conditions have been a source of wonder ever since (the remains of their sunken boats were only recently discovered, for example).

For 'The Lost Explorer', Brixtol has "created a collection that reflects and combines elements of both military and indigenous tradition, investigating ideas and methods of dealing with harsh environment in protecting the body". The collection includes coats, bombers and puffers for men and women, which you can browse above.

It's hardly even festival season here in the UK but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be planning for the cold months already.
