Bristol's DJ Derek has gone missing
His family and police are appealing for information regarding his whereabouts
DJ Derek, the Bristol-based 73-year-old known for his reggae, ska and soul sets, is missing.
Facebook and Twitter appeals have been made by his family, having not seen or heard from him in three weeks, and police are now working on tracking him down.
His niece Jennifer used his personal Facebook page to ask the public for help, saying: "Has anyone seen Derek in the last three weeks? This is urgent. Please let us know. Police are now informed and he is being treated as a missing person."
Over the years the musician, real name Derek Morris, has played Glastonbury, attracted attention from Massive Attack and starred as the DJ in the video for Dizzee Rascal's 'Dirtee Disco'.
If anyone has any information, his niece is asking them to contact her on Twitter.
