Boards of Canada invite fans to listen to new album ahead of release
A series of 'Inferno' listening sessions will be held in seven cities across the world on May 29
Boards of Canada are inviting fans to an exclusive first-listen of their forthcoming album, ‘Inferno’, ahead of its release next month.
The elusive sibling duo revealed that listening sessions will be held all around the world in May, just a week before the 18-track record’s official release.
Listening sessions will take place across seven cities on Friday, May 22, including London, Berlin, Tokyo, Los Angeles, New York, Barcelona, and Glasgow.

It’ll be the first chance to listen to the duo’s first album in more than a decade, which arrives on May 29 via their long-time label Warp. ‘Inferno’ follows 2013’s acclaimed ‘Tomorrow’s Harvest’.
The record was announced last week (April 22), after plenty of online speculation from fans as cryptic VHS tapes featuring a hexagonal-shaped logo were shipped to regular buyers of Warp's releases via Bleep’s distribution service earlier in the month.

Just days after VHS tapes were distributed, a series of posters featuring Boards of Canada's recognisable art style and that same logo appeared all over the globe, from Hollywood's Walk of Fame to Tokyo venue LIQUIDROOM.
The pre-release campaign was likened to a similar cryptic campaign launched by the duo ahead of the release of their last record, ‘Tomorrow’s Harvest’.
Tickets for first-listen sessions of ‘Inferno’ will go on sale on Friday, May 1. You can register for pre-sale here, and check out the sessions below.
