Bloc issues statement after article from co-founder last week

"Love, power, respect, admiration - to you all"

If you didn't hear about one of the founders of Bloc going off on one about today's "dull hipster" ravers last week, then where on earth were you?

George Hull wrote a piece for The Spectator blasting today's revellers for not possessing the same attributes as those of old. He also defined modern day dance music as "tedious and diluted." But Bloc has now issued a statement to counter his much-debated (and pretty off-key) remarks.

Beginning with the clarification that Hull's view "doesn't represent Bloc", the statement goes on to outline the company's mantra and pays tribute to everyone that flocked to the three-day Butlins party earlier this month, as well as everyone that's partied at Bloc events over the last decade.

It reads: "Bloc extends a welcoming vibe to every single person who comes together to share in the experience. The vibe at every single rave, big or small, for the past ten years is testament to that. The kind of people who choose to go is testament to that.

"We were blown away by the crowd at this year's weekender and want to sincerely thank you all. As we've signed off for more than a decade: love, power, respect, admiration - to you all."
