Blipblox unveils MPC-style sampler and synth for kids, myTRACKS

Blipbox has announced its latest piece of hardware, myTRACKS, an MPC-style sampler and synth for kids.

First launched by Playtime Engineering, myTRACKS is a fully functional synthesizer, aimed at introducing kids as young as three to music.

Resembling an MPC, complete with 16 pads — myTRACKS is "A full-featured sound lab for all ages," allowing users to create samples, melodies and beats.

A crowdfunding campaign to support the launch will land on Kickstarter April 9, with a limited supply available for early bird access.

myTRACKS includes a collection of 48 upgradable acoustic and synthesized instruments with levers allowing users to control filters, delay and pitch blend.

Sound pack upgrades will be available via the universal USB-C.

Users will also be able to arrange, record, save and complete songs using the featured production elements and create their samples using the built-in microphone.

According to the official launch page, the Blipbox myTRACKS is "not just for kids" and features a 5-pin MIDI Out allowing users to connect to other synthesizers.

Blipbox myTRACKS is the third kid-friendly synth to be developed by Playtime Engineering, following the original Blipbox and the Blipbox After Dark which are priced between £100 - £200.

Blipblox has released a series of videos introducing the myTRACKS synth via YouTube, including a full walkthrough, showing how to load, layer and save "sets" and create melodies.
