After 13 years at Robin Hill Country Park in Isle of Wight, Bestival is moving to Dorset next year.

Rob Da Bank's festival will relocate to Lulworth Estate, the home of the family-orientated Camp Bestival, from September 7 to 10.

Da Bank admits a potential move had been in his mind for a while, but also said there will be another event on the Isle.

"It's been a bittersweet morning. Things have really stacked up against us in a really boring economic fashion. Every year it's just been something that has been brewing and we needed to make the move now otherwise we would have been struggling.

"We remain fully committed to supporting the Isle of Wight through music, charities and projects. Plus, we're working towards a new event for the island."

The festival had to apologise last year after there were complaints about poor sound quality and a reduction in size.
