New nightclub opens in Berlin, Abstrakt
The club is the sister venue to the Anomalie Art Club and has replaced the now-closed Mensch Meier
A new nightclub has opened in Berlin.
Abstrakt is the newest addition to Berlin’s nightlife with plans to provide a “playful experience”.
The club has replaced what was once Mensch Meier, which closed in towards the end of last year after almost 10 years at Storkower Straße 121.
Abstrakt is also the sister venue to the Anomalie Art Club with plans to share the same building and eventually host joint events together as Anomalie District.

Earlier this month Abstrakt officially opened with the likes of Chris Schwarzwälder, Mimi Love, TiM TASTE and more.
This Friday (April 19), the nightclub will host Neogenese with 20 artists filling the line-up such as Al Aslan b2b Opal, Tweeman and DJ Saunameister.
The event description claims clubbers can expect a “multifaceted sound experience” across three floors.
“Local DJs from Berlin will make the night unforgettable with their unique sounds and groovy tunes.”

Speaking to Resident Advisor, the nightclub shared: "As Anomalie is already known for its big techno bookings, in Abstrakt we've curated a more playful experience with colourful dance floors, light installations and a more diverse music policy that includes house, disco, downtempo, trance and of course techno”.
A spokesperson continues: "We've also installed Funktion-One sound systems on every floor, and we aim to cultivate a bigger community where art, music, consistency and culture immerse together. Everyone can be part of it."
