Bedouin in The Lab NYC

The Lab NYC is Mixmag and WAV's weekly live stream and post-work unwind, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our Brooklyn office. This Wednesday, May 9, we invite Bedouin to showcase the distinct style that soundtracks their Saga event series.

Since emerging with releases on respected record labels like All Day I Dream, Crosstown Rebels, Cityfox, Kindisch and Supernature, the Brooklyn-based duo Bedouin have garnered a cult-like following of listeners attracted to their deep, dreamy and hypnotic style of dance music. Consisting of Rami Abousabe and Tamer Malki, their sound pulls from a diverse range of influences owing to their Middle Eastern heritage, Western upbringing and world travels. This unique style helped to earn them Mixmag's Breakthrough Artist of 2017, a title they greatly deserved.

Aside from their work in the studio, Bedouin have built up a reputation for delivering captivating performances in the DJ booth. This is evident in their highly praised event series Saga, which has grown to be regarded as one of the most celebrated nights in Ibiza. In 2018 they continue to build momentum, tapping a strong cast of talent, including Black Coffee, DJ Koze, Damian Lazarus, Lee Burridge, Jamie Jones, Guy Laliberte and dOP to join them for weekly parties at Heart Ibiza.
