‘Where’s My Head At_’, the anticipated remix from 100 gecs of the Basement Jaxx classic ‘Where’s Your Head At’ has been released for the first time digitally.

The sought-after release, which is out now via XL Recordings, will also become available in a limited run of etched 12” vinyl with just 500 copies available.

‘Where’s My Head At_’ is a punk-leaning edit of the 2001 Basement Jaxx classic, first debuted at the duo’s Los Angeles Boiler Room set in March this year which now clocks over 1.3 million views.

Long-sleeved t-shirts emblazoned with the logo ‘100 Jaxx’ are also available now alongside the physical release.

Earlier this year, 100 gecs released their second full-length record, ‘10,000 Gecs’. The pair were set to head on tour across Europe over the summer but cancelled due to “physical and mental” exhaustion.

The 14-date tour was set to hit the UK and Europe in October in support of their new album, concluding in Manchester. The pair continued to play planned shows in Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

Speaking to Mixmag in 2019 about the rise of PC Music, the label that first broke the duo onto the scene, 100 gecs’ Laura Les explained that the imprint “always felt like the perfect representation of freedom in the age of the internet”.

“Dylan and I are pretty big fans of some classic pop punk,” she explained. “PC Music’s mixes and releases would definitely be one of my biggest influences, especially the early mixes.”
