Azzecca is fuelling dancefloors with new long-awaited track 'Tell That Boy'

Chicago's Azzecca has returned to Higher Ground to share her new single, 'Tell That Boy'.

With the track a staple in her sets - which, over summer, have seen her land in festivals including Electric Forest and EDC Vegas - the artist once more ropes in her trademark sonic identity of blending techno, house and dark dance.

As full-frontal as they come, 'Tell That Boy' uses multiple layers, from more melodic, lighter sunth chords to hefty basslines and 90s-fuelled drum build ups. At its crescendo, the track's peak vocal riff moves front-and-centre before an infectious, dancefloor-primed drop.

"When I found this vocal sample I knew I needed to make something fun and in-your-face with it," Azzecca tells Mixmag. Continually on a mission to champion women - originally through her own 'Dirty Disco' events, now simultaneously via her music - 'Tell That Boy' only furthers her mission for empowerment.

"I feel like the rowdiness and cheek of the track showcase another side of my personality as an artist," she adds.
