Never before released on CD or digital, and unearthed by one of the most revered collectors of our time (Trevor Jackson), the US Thunder mix of Atmosphere's 'When Tonight Is Over' is the rawest piece of electro-fried disco you'll ever drop. Tape saturated electronics combine with prototype house: it's the sound that ARTKIST??XX endeavours to achieve. Of course, you have to be a bit of a head to appreciate the hiss, crunchy drums, dirty arped synths and general lo-fi feel, but for those that do when Beverley Skeete's boogie vocals come in you'll be in heaven. The track is one of thirty taken from the 'Science Fiction Dancehall Classics' Compilation, on which Trev raids the vaults of the On-U Sound Vaults to create a mix CD that only he could.
