Ataxia in The Lab NYC
A party acid takeover with the prolific Detroit duo
The Lab NYC is Mixmag and WAV's weekly live stream and post-work unwind, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our Brooklyn office. This Friday, December 7, Detroit duo Ataxia bring their prolific party acid sound to The Lab NYC.
A project born back in 2009, Ted Krisko and Eric Ricker of Ataxia formed their group as an act of rebellion against their previous punk music leanings. Gravitating away from their bands and moving towards the decks, Ataxia's impactful sound has landed them on admired labels such as Seth Troxler's Play It Say It, Leftroom Records, Nervous Records, Connaisseur Recordings, Culprit LA, Touch of Class, Visionquest and more.
After a spending significant time in the studio this past year, the duo has recently made a new edition to their catalogue of raw, gritty and infectious dancefloor material with the EP 'Last Midi On Earth' - released via Kevin Saunderson's KMS Records imprint. Ataxia has held a 10-year residency at the famous Motor City venue TV Lounge, played numerous high-profile festivals throughout North America and have never faltered in wowing the crowd with their high-energy, peak-hour DJ sets.
Directly after their gig at The Lab, be sure to head on over to Output for an all-night dance session with Ataxia and Maya Jane Coles. Secure tickets here
