Aspiring DJ sells Technics after seeing Antal in action

“I am never going to even come close to this man.”

Internet marketplaces are awash with people selling DJ decks, with common reasons ranging from no longer having time to indulge in the hobby to upgrading to newer models.

A seller on Holland-based advertising site Marktplaats has provided perhaps the most honest reason we’ve ever seen.

Alongside the listing of two Technics SL1210 MK2 turntables, the description outlines that the decks are up for auction because seeing Rush Hour boss Antal spin an all-night set at Amsterdam club De School made the seller realise their own skills will never match up.

The translated advert reads: “At this point I’d like to sell both my Technics SL1210. Yesterday I saw Antal at De School and it’s time to be perfectly honest with myself and others. I am never going to even come close to this man. Antal was [so] good.”

Fair play.
