Aphex Twin surprise releases two new tracks on SoundCloud

Aphex Twin shared two new tracks via SoundCloud yesterday (November 27), ‘Zahl am1 live track 1’ and ‘Zahl am1 live track 1c f760m1 unfinshd’. 

With similar titles and a shared piano loop, it appears both uploads are alternative versions of the same track, with  ‘Zahl am1 live track 1’ featuring a soft instrumental and the ‘c f760m1 unfinshd’ version inserting rolling breaks and scattered hats.

On the upload of the track ‘Zahl am1 live track 1‘c f760m1 unfinshd’’, AFX, AKA Richard D. James, shared the caption: "Got many requests for this one from a few years back."

The caption goes on to divulge that the picture uploaded with the tracks was taken in Italy, "with my love from Scilly recently...need sun...relentlessly raining in uk...mixed down on the zahl, think theres better mixes, will upload if i find em."

The caption for the first track, ‘Zahl am1 live track 1’, simply reads "ambient mix."
