Paul Nicholson, the designer of Aphex Twin’s logo, has shared original sketch images that chart the evolution of the emblem.

The drawings are taken from a workbook Nicholson used from November 1991 to October 1993.

Posting on Instagram Nicholson wrote: “Everything presented here has never been published before and unseen since worked on with Richard.”

He also announced he will be releasing further developmental art in the continuing celebration of the 25th anniversary of ‘Selected Ambient Works 85 – 92’, following the release of the logo blueprint last month, with “the thought process behind the sleeve artwork to Selected Ambient Works Vol. 2” to come.

Check out the sketches and the workbook in the gallery above.
