Aphex Twin and Mike Paradinas return as Mike & Rich
A special reissue of 'Expert Knob Twiddlers' on Planet Mu
Back in 1996, Aphex Twin and Planet Mu label head Mike Paradinas, also known as µ-Ziq, released the album 'Expert Knob Twiddlers' as Mike & Rich on Rephlex.
The collaboration was one for the books, bringing together two of the world's most sought after IDM pioneers. Both Aphex and µ-Ziq have admitted to being heavily intoxicated throughout most of the production, making for a wonderfully odd set of originals.
Today, Planet Mu has dropped the heavy announcement that the 10-track LP will be re-releasing on their imprint, with some added exclusives 'from the vaults'.
Rumours of the expanded compilation flew into a frenzy when, presumably Aphex Twin himself, commented on his SoundCloud page teasing the reissue. However, there's no official release date yet.
