The Brit Awards has announced its nominees for the 2016 ceremony that takes place on February 24.

There's a strong electronic presence in the British Male Solo Artist category, with Aphex Twin, Jamie xx, Mark Ronson and Calvin Harris all competing against each other, and James Bay, for the title.

It's not the first time Aphex and Jamie xx have been up for the same award, having both featured on the Mercury Music Prize shortlist last year.

Major Lazer and Björk (pictured) are among the names up for international prizes, featuring in the International Group and International Female Solo Artist awards respectively.

See the full list of nominees at the Brit's website.
