Annie Mac draws in 100,000 more Radio 1 listeners
Audience figures soar after taking over from Zane Lowe
When Zane Lowe announced his exit from Radio 1 after twelve years, he left big shoes to fill but it would appear Annie Mac has been the ideal replacement as 100,000 more listeners have tuned in.
The two hour hot spot for the latest indie releases has been met with Annie Mac's love of dance tracks and is proving very popular with listeners.
Artists such as Jack Garratt, Danish singer MØ and electronic producer Mura Masa have pushed her audience figures up to 1.74 million- 110,000 higher than Lowe's 2014 figures.
You can catch Annie Mac 7pm-9pm Monday to Thursday and 7pm-10pm on Fridays.
