Amnesia Ibiza is opening two weeks earlier than last year
The doors open for the summer on May 14
Ibiza heads might want to book their summer holiday a little earlier than they did last year.
Amnesia's opening party is kicking off on May 14 this year, two weeks earlier than scheduled and last year's shindig, which featured Maceo Plex, Apollonia, Hot Since 82, Eats Everything, Guy Gerber and more.
One Facebook user reckons it might have something to do with Ushuaïa's Richie Hawtin-featuring party going ahead on May 28, the date Amnesia opened on in 2015, and the club's statement hints that may be the case.
It reads: "Due to the coincidence of opening parties, the benevolent weather in Ibiza since January, the good provisions for this summer 2016 and the good prospects for this summer 2016, the organisation has decided to take advantage of a unique opportunity to improve the final line-up which will repay this inconvenience in a way you wouldn´t even imagine."
