AlphaTheta unveils new DJ effector and sampler, RMX-Ignite
It builds on the unit’s popular 2012 predecessor RMX-1000, boasting “next-gen” quality
AlphaTheta has unveiled the latest piece of music gear in its collection, the RMX-Ignite.
The DJ effector and performance sampler debuted at California’s annual NAMM music tech show this week, building on the legacy of the unit's popular 2012 predecessor, the RMX-1000.
The RMX-Ignite is described as a “next-gen effector” that allows you to “remix tracks freely and take your performances to new heights” by AlphaTheta, who shared a video of the unit in action on YouTube earlier today (January 15).

The effector boasts a 3-band FX section with separate Lever FX and Isolate FX, as well as a sampler section allowing you to layer samples. It also features four sample trigger pads, and 'Sampler Colour FX' to add “depth and movement”.
“Combining the 2 effect types opens diverse performance options and, with the sub-parameter knobs, you can refine the tone for richer, more expressive sounds,” reads a description.
The unit also includes PRO DJ LINK for “precise” beat-matching, and can be used by simply connecting a USB to your mixer, also with DJM-A9 & DJM-V10 compatibility.

“Create visually and sonically striking performances with the RMX-IGNITE by using the levers and large knobs to intuitively control its array of effects,” AlphaTheta said in a new post. “Whether you’re playing in a club or on a live stream or video, you can captivate your audience by uniting sound and motion.”
The RMX-Ignite is available to buy now for £1,039 ($1,199). Find out more here, and watch a video of it in action below.
