Alison Goldfrapp kicks off solo career with new single ‘Digging Deeper’

Alison Goldfrapp, the long-running vocalist of iconic electronic duo Goldfrapp, has launched her solo career today (January 19), dropping new single ‘Digging Deeper’.

The song is a collaboration with German producer Claptone, dropping a prog house-influenced, dancefloor focused track to back Alison’s vocals.

Commenting on the collaboration, Claptone said: “When Alison Goldfrapp asked me to collaborate, it was a no brainer for me. I’ve always been enchanted by the magic world she created and her stunning voice, so I was really happy that we could merge our trickery to create ‘Digging Deeper’.”

Speaking about the energy of the track, Alison said: “In ‘Digging Deeper’, I’m effortlessly gliding through air, on a gloriously hot breezy night arriving at a blissed-out dancefloor on the island of my dreams.”
