Aitch announces debut album ‘Close To Home’
New single ‘1989’ to drop tomorrow
Aitch has announced that his debut album ‘Close To Home’ will be out this summer, with new single called ‘1989’ dropping tomorrow.
The album is described as a “love letter to the city which shaped him, [Manchester] revealing a well of hidden depths to surprise, delight, and charm his ever-growing legion of fans,”.

“The past four years have been crazy thank you to everyone that’s been involved I can’t appreciate you enough, whether you been here from the start or not I got nothing but love,” Aitch posted on Instagram.
‘1989’ will include a sample from fellow Manchester group The Stone Roses with their hit ‘Fools Gold’.
‘Fools Gold’ was released in 1989, which explains Aitch’s choice in track title.
The Manchester rapper gave a sneak-peak to his new single earlier this week via Twitter with a video of him mouthing along to this new mash-up captioning it, "Manchester shit...who wants it?"
