Agoria
Fiery house and techno from the French maestro Agoria
Sébastien Devaud is better known by his moniker Agoria and he's been at the forefront of French electronic music for well over a decade. What started as an early appreciation for house and techno soon blossomed into a personal passion for producing and DJing.
Jeff Mills and Inner City have been cited as early influences for Devaud and in 1999 he opened for Carl Cox and Richie Hawtin, which is no mean feat for an unassuming 23 year old. In 2002 he brought out a series of 12"s on PIAS Recordings and since then he's released three studio albums.
His most recent release was 'Scala' last year via Innervisions. This track in particular shredded dancefloors and festival stages worldwide all summer long and made it to No. 25 in our Top 100 Tracks of 2013 chart.
For this In Session mix (taken live from StageOne Verboten, New York), Agoria has created a unique blend of bumping house and driving techno all the while masterfully mixed. Journey isn't a word we like using, but this is one.
