Adsum release harvest season-inspired collection for AW19
The Brooklyn-based brand has mixed traditional workwear styles with classic outerwear staples
For AW19, Brooklyn-based Adsum have unveiled their latest collection, inspired by harvest season and the clothing worn by its workers.
Digging through harvest-related imagery throughout the design process, the brand found a mix of people who dressed both casually, but also with a purpose and function. Splashes of pop colours, sportswear, traditional workwear have all been blended together to create another unique collection Adsum has become synonymous for.
The workwear influence is most evident in their new Herringbone Work Jacket and Utility Pant, whilst the flagship outerwear piece for the season, Saratoga Jacket, has been upgraded with a lighter 3L shell fabric. An outdoor performance influence runs through the collection, the Hyperlight Down Jacket and Vest fleece are new lightweight, high performance pieces.
The Expedition fleece is constructed from heavyweight, Japanese-milled Taslan, reversed with pile on the inside, and finished with Japanese YKK zips. Down is another key fabric for the season, the Alpine Jacket, Hyperlight Down Jacket, and Hyperlight Down Vest are all produced in custom shell fabrics, and insulated with 800 fill power duck down, with a 90/10 feather to cluster ratio.
The collection is available now through the Adsum website, as well as select retailers around the world including End. and Oi Polloi. Adsum will also be opening its flagship store in Williamsburg, Brooklyn soon. You can view some of our favourite pieces from the collection below and you can view the entire lookbook here.
