A play about the early days of acid house is returning to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Award-winning cult hit We Are Ian will play five dates at the KingDome starting August 24.

The play is an ode to the Manchester rave scene of the late 80s. Set in 1989, it’s narrated by former raver Ian who’s reminiscing is acted out by Nora Alexander, Dora Lyn and Kat Cory of the In Bed With My Brother theatre company with gusto.

Touching on subjects like Thatcherism and featuring more brown biscuits than you can shake a stick at, the play received rave reviews on its debut last year.
